History

The thriving school we know today as Trinity Oaks Christian Academy was founded in 1989 by a group of committed Christian parents as a not-for-profit educational organization.  At inception, the school was named Harvest Christian School, and the chief desire of our founders was to honor the Lord by providing a quality, Christ-centered education for children as an alternative to the public educational system.  The school was bathed in prayer by these faithful visionaries, and doors opened in the fall of 1991 with ten students in kindergarten through grade four.

Eventually, in 2004, our school name was changed to Trinity Oaks Christian Academy, but our vision remained true to that of our founders.  Holding fast to our desire to honor the Lord, and continuing to lift our school up before Him, we watched as He grew and expanded our original vision steadily through the years.  With thankful hearts we look back on our progress, and with joyful, expectant hearts anticipate the future at Trinity Oaks Christian Academy.

A timeline of progress…

Initially, our school rented space in two different churches during our first years of operation.  Then, to accommodate growing interest, we moved to the campus of the Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake in the Fall of 1993.

In the fall of 1994, we expanded to include a full program, K-8, with an enrollment of 65 students., and, in 1999, we extended our early childhood program to include a pre-kindergarten.

Soon after, we grew to occupy three campuses, and our prayer became one of a desire to be united under one roof.  That prayer was answered, and Trinity Oaks relocated to our current location- the Oak Knoll campus in Cary.

At this location, more growth; in 2007, Trinity Oaks added a three-year-old preschool program, a full-day kindergarten option, and began offering the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) program.

In the summer of 2010, we began our summer program, “Destination Exploration.”

Join us as we continue to thrive and grow with our latest expansion- a high school program, launching in the Fall of 2012.  At Trinity Oaks Christian Academy, the possibilities for your child’s future are endless!
